Just to give you some background about myself…

My first major exposure to IT and software development was whilst working at Alstom Automation (Leicester) where I was seconded to the internal IT department for the development of a Sales and Tendering Database. Before that, I have worked as a Tendering Officer, a Finance Underwriter and as a Graphic Designer.

With the successful completion of that project, which was rolled out to ten separate units across the globe, I transferred departments to become an Analyst Programmer mainly specialising in PC development. During my time, I developed several systems in Domino / Notes, Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications.

At the end of 1999, I left Alstom Automation to join Applied, a software house based in Nottingham, as a Web / Lotus Domino Developer. During that time I developed several web sites from static reference sites to e-catalogues and e-commerce stores. In addition, I also developed several intranet based applications using IIS and Lotus Domino platforms.

I left Applied in February of this year and have been working as a contractor / freelancer since then.

On a personal level, I am aged twenty-seven years and live with my partner (who is currently developing our first bambino) in Leicestershire. I am a keen footballer and play for our local team, who recently won the league on the last game of the season. My other interests are power kiting, snooker and enjoying myself.

On a professional level, I am looking for a position that exploits not just my web-based skills, but also my strong background in system analysis, database design and intranet development skills as well as the opportunity to explore and utilise new technologies such as Java and XML
